Fell apart at the sole and ABSOLUTELY not water proof. I work outdoors during all weather and these boots lets in all the water. By the end of a 12 hour shift in rain or snow my feet are shriveled like an old man. I would not recommend these boots to anyone working outdoors. They are comfortable even on railroad ballast.

Ordered these for my nephew, whose old Timberland boots were coming apart terribly, after about 8 years of wear! He has worn them from first day he opened the box and says they are the BEST boots and very comfortable! Yay! His last pair went 8 years, need I say more?!

This is a very well-made boot and the upper-to-sole attachment is high quality and durable. Will be a great buy for most, but note that even with a wide width purchased, it is somewhat tight on the top in the toe/top of foot area.

I am not one who writes reviews on anything I purchase. But this is an exception. I spend a lot of time on my feet and they tend to give me problems like planters phascitis. I have a narrow heel and an average width ball of my foot and I have never in my 47 years had a shoe fit this well. I have a high arch and the shoe has plenty of support and cushion for me. I usually bought aisics and wore a size 8.5. I ordered the same size in Brooks and that was perfect. I would have room for an insole if I needed it but I don't and it's still great. In a dress shoe I were a 7.5 if that helps any. By the way...it looks great on your foot on top it all.
