I can never find boots or shoes quickly, I usually have to do a lot of searching. I tried these on in store but they didn't have my size as usual. After checking a few different stores I couldn't find my size(11.5 W). Found these online and they are perfect! I'll be using these in all types of weather including snow and rain. The great thing about these is that they are insulated and waterproof up to a certain point. I would still suggest warm wool socks in the winter. Definitely a great buy and when these ware out, I'll be buying another pair.

I have owned these boots before and was very happy with my last pair. With moderate use, 5 days per week, my last pair lasted about 2 years. I work in a warehouse with a lot of walking on metal and concrete surfaces, and find that cheaper boots break down faster and don't maintain support after even a few months.
I just put these on today, so I can only assume that their life expectancy will be the same as my last pair, but once again I am pleased with the fit, cushioning, and construction of these. This is a quality boot that is worth the money, especially if you can get a deal on them (like I was able to).

I have had my original pair of timberland non-insulated boots from 1995. They fit like a glove and so I've bought these for two reasons.

1 - insulation
2 - no more sole

The insulation was an upgrade for me, I had my original boots from down south where insulation was not needed. However, since moving to Michigan, it really is easier than just adding more socks.

I ordered a 9.5w due to my original boot being a 9.5 normal and being 20 years fatter... err more mature. The boot was too short and my toes were smashed in the toe box.

I then ordered a 10w and found the boot too long. I have .25-.35 inch of space in the toe box. In addition, I get a lot of movement in the back of my heel. I have tried different lacing types and none prevent movement in the boots. I typically get hot spots after a day of usage and seemingly cannot break these boots in... they just don't work for my foot.

Update after wearing them daily for the last 4 months, still not comfortable, now I'm getting hot spots under my right pinky toe.

In addition, the eyelets are horrible. They didn't completely set the prongs on the under side and I have cut myself on them 3 times. The first time I didn't realize it was my boot, the second time I mashed the prong down with my knife, the third time was a different eyelet. So I was upset and mashed all the prongs down, 3 additional eyelets (5 total) were messed up.

Other than that, I still can't get used to the inclined toe box and breaking them in hasn't dropped it any.

I couldn't find these anywhere local and Sears was out. I took a chance here and they were cheaper then Sears and fit perfect. The boots last but the laces need constant replacement.

Fit as expected for Brooks. I love love these shoes. The change I love the most is that they got rid of the little bit of plastic covering that used to come up over the big toe side of the top. I attribute that bit of plastic/rubber to my bruised toes after a half marathon. The absence of that makes the toe box feel bigger. Not sure it's any wider, but it just feels so roomy and comfy. After a 10 miler in these I felt no discomfort in toes or anywhere else. Everything else, to me, feels the same as the Ghost 9s that I loved so much. Wonderful upgrade.

I thought they were too big initially but after a couple of wearings they're great. They weigh next to nothing and don' t smell!!
