after 6 months of wear, the soles split and allowed water to enter the boot. I have been using timerland Pro for about 7 years straight with no issues until now.

This is the second time i edit my review as overtime things change and i want people to know how durable these were with me. I work on a farm so im always moving and always on my feet. The first couple months the boots were amazing even water did not get in when the brush was wet. I've had these for about a year know and the boots themselves are still in great condition considering the type of work i do. A couple months in the water did start to seep into the boots in the wet mornings but not much as easy. My biggest problem with these is that the insoles wore out (yea i walk a lot) the insoles aren't as durable as the actual boots. I replaced the insoles and the boots are still in great condition. I did at first give the boots four stars then i edited the review and gave them five, and now im editing the review again and going back down to four just because of the insoles. I still think the boots are a great buy.

This is my first pair of Timberlands I usually wear RedWings. they fit good and did not hurt my flat feet. I wear a 14 H or eeee I bought ee they fit , but probably would not if they were steel toe. overall good boots. I walk on concrete with stairs and ladders industrial maintenance mostly indoors little to no oil 5 plus miles a day .

For a guy with wide feet, purchasing shoes or boots online have become common practice. I would say these fit as expected, but it would be nice if they were a little wider. Because of this I have 2 pressure points on either side of my foot (left to right). I can still wear them for a couple of hours at a time though.

this is a revision. just returned from 2 weeks vacation in london and tuscany. these are the only shoes i wore the entire trip. hiked and ran 8-15 miles daily including the Cinque Terre trails. also daily (5 days) ran 3 miles up/down Piazza Michelangelo in Florence. these are the most comfortable hiking and running shoes i've owned over the past 45 years. i've bought 7-8 pairs of asics. these are by far the best. the shoes are very supportive and soles firm which i prefer. i'm a plodding jogger, usually 2-3 miles, or elliptical daily for 20-25 min. these shoes firmly support my feet. also very comfortable for general daily wear. couldn't be more pleased with the shoes.

Asics Men's Gel-Venture 5 are great fitting, long lasting, wide based shoes with excellent support. I walk 5-6 miles a day, or hike 3 miles through rocky terrain. These shoes help with stability and have enough cushioning and tread to keep you safely on the trails with no foot or joint pain. Highly recommend!
